Fees and Payment

 Beach at sunset

What are your fees?

50 Minute Session: $ 98 plus GST= $ 102.90

80 Minute Session: $ 147 plus GST= $ 154.35

Fees in Canadian dollars.

These fees are lower than the recommended rate for Registered Clinical Counsellors. Because I provide on-line therapy, I save the expense of an out-of-the-home office, and pass those savings onto you.

To pay forward some of the help I received along the way,  10% of my appointments are offered pro-bono (free). If you are in a financially tough place but need help, contact me. At this time, I have a very long waitlist for free sessions, but I am happy to place you on that waitlist if you need that.

Payment

Payment is due at the end of each session.

Session length

What’s your cancellation policy?

Minimum 24 hours cancellation notice is required to avoid being charged in full for the session. I allow for one “free pass” per client– meaning that you can miss one session without being charged for it. I know that sometimes unavoidable things happen.

Do you accept third party coverage?

Fees are often covered by your extended health plan, employee assistance program and workers compensation program.

I encourage you to research details about any counselling coverage you may have before scheduling your first appointment. I’m happy to help you with this, should you need it.

Fees are not covered by the BC Medical Services Plan.

I am a registered provider for these programs:

Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP). This could be a source of funding for you if you have been a victim of crime.

First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). They have several funded counselling streams if you are a Status First Nations person.

Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). If you have experienced a motor vehicle accident, there is free counselling available for you. You need make a claim with ICBC to have access.
