Fees and Payment

What are your fees?

The fee is $98/60 minute session plus 5% GST if you live in Canada.

This fee is lower than the recommended rate for Registered Clinical Counsellors. Because I provide on-line therapy, I save the expense of an out-of-the-home office, and pass those savings onto you.

To pay forward some of the help I received along the way,  10% of my sessions are offered pro-bono (free). If you are in a financially tough place but need help, contact me.

Payment is due at the end of each session.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Minimum 24 hours cancellation notice is required to avoid being charged in full for the session.

Do you accept third party coverage?

Fees are often covered by your extended health plan, employee assistance program and workers compensation program.

I encourage you to research details about any counselling coverage you may have before scheduling your first appointment. I’m happy to help you with this, should you need it.

Fees are not covered by the BC Medical Services Plan.

Crime Victims Assistance Program

I am a registered provider for the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP).

There are many ways a crime can affect your life. If you have been physically or emotionally hurt as a result of a violent crime, you may be entitled to financial assistance for counselling and other supports.

In order to qualify, you need to have made a police report, but the case does not need to be approved, or in court.

The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) assists victims, immediate family members and some witnesses in coping with the effects of violent crime. It provides financial benefits to help offset financial losses and assist in recovery.
